Position Description:  Internships with the San Francisco office of Third Security are intended for juniors/seniors and graduate students interested in a career in venture capital, investment research/analysis, and early stage IT investing.  If selected, you will work with our business development team to: (1) gather and assess information about certain private investment opportunities; (2) manage and update a database of investment opportunities; and (3) perform market research and other tasks as required.

Qualifications:

1. A technical background and demonstrated interest in Information & Communications Technology, e.g. high tech, Web 2.0, consumer Internet, social networking, etc. REQUIRED
2. Minimum 3.2 GPA
3. Minimum 1 year previous work experience
4. Computer Science/Engineering/Business majors preferred
