Job Title: Summer MBA Intern

Position Description:

Internships with the San Francisco office of Third Security are intended for 1st year MBA students interested in a career in venture capital, investment research/analysis, and early stage IT investing.  If selected, you will work with our business development team to: (1) gather and assess information about certain private investment opportunities; (2) apply valuation concepts, methodologies and more advanced financial analyses to assist our business development team in certain due diligence activities; (3) manage and update a database of investment opportunities; and (4) perform market research and other tasks as required.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum 3.0 GPA (preference will be given to finance majors)
2. Minimum 4 years previous work experience in any combination of VC/PE, investment management, consulting, and engineering
3. A general background and demonstrated interest in Information & Communications Technology, e.g. high tech, Web 2.0, consumer Internet, etc.
4. Previous start-up experience preferred
