Third Security, LLC Hires Two New Managing Directors

Jeff Perez joined the firm in July 2007 as Managing Director and Associate General Counsel, Intellectual Property. He evaluates the intellectual property portfolios of potential investments for Third Security’s funds, and works in tandem with current investment companies to evaluate and develop their own intellectual property positions. Mr. Perez joined Third Security from the Litigation and Intellectual Property Practice Team at Hunton & Williams LLP in Washington, D.C. He received his JD degree from George Mason University School of Law, and a BS degree from Cornell University.   

Jeff Stark joined Third Security as a Managing Director in August 2007. He will be working closely with the firm’s portfolio companies to leverage opportunities in developing markets. He comes to Third Security from his position as a managing director for Tyco Telecommunications for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Mr. Stark previously worked in the Information, Communications and Technology sector of Pacific Century Cyber Works and Global TeleSystems, including a four-year period during which he lived in Russia building fiber optic systems and data networks in the Commonwealth of Independent States. Mr. Stark holds an executive MBA degree from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, and a BS in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University.
